Hi God, Let's Talk! Lesson 4/8 - Asking Prayer

Hey, kids! Have you ever wanted to talk to God? Guess what! You can! And it's as simple as picking up the phone and calling your best friend. In this series, we're going to look at all the different ways we can pray! You might have heard some of these words before -- words like intercession, repentance, and thanksgiving. There are all words that describe prayer, and prayer is simply talking and listening to God.

Lesson 4 - Asking Prayer

This lesson is about Asking Prayer. We use Asking Prayer to do just that - ask! Some other fancy words for "ask" that you'll see in the Bible are "supplication" and "petition" but they mean the same thing. Hannah went to the tabernacle at Shiloh to ask God for a baby boy. Weeping, Hannah made a vow to let her son serve God at the house of the Lord all his days. Eli the priest blessed her, and prayed for God to answer her prayer. Soon, Samuel was born! That's asking prayer, and God loves to give us what we ask Him for!
