Just Like Me! Lesson 1 - Samuel Practiced Obedience

Hey, boys and girls! Did you know that the Bible is full of kids just like you who did great things for God? It’s like they were super heroes! Each one of these child heroes displayed Godly character. Character traits like HONOUR, BOLDNESS, and COMPASSION. We’re going to look at each of these kids and see how what they did helped them grow up into who they came to be for God. Best of all, you can do the very same things as these kids did, because they are Just Like You! And because you have the Holy Spirit available to help, you, too, can grow up into super great men and women of God!

Samuel was a young boy who obeyed Eli, the guardian that God gave him. And because Samuel chose to obey Eli, God knew He could speak to Samuel and Samuel would obey Him, too. God spoke to Samuel his whole life, and God used him to help his king and his whole country! When you practice obedience just like Samuel, God is able to use you more and more to do His work.
