Just Like Me! Lesson 12 - Mary Had Pureness of Heart

Hey, boys and girls! Did you know that the Bible is full of kids just like you who did great things for God? It’s like they were super heroes! Each one of these child heroes displayed Godly character. Character traits like HONOUR, BOLDNESS, and COMPASSION. We’re going to look at each of these kids and see how what they did helped them grow up into who they came to be for God. Best of all, you can do the very same things as these kids did, because they are Just Like You! And because you have the Holy Spirit available to help, you, too, can grow up into super great men and women of God!

Why is pureness of heart so important? Jesus said, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." Mary was chosen by God to be the mother of His Son on the Earth because of her pure heart. What a privilege! The Bible says she was highly favoured by God, and God was with her. She responded to the angel's news of what would happen to her with ultimate pureness of heart: "Be it unto me according to Your word." And she really did get to see God - growing up in her home!
