Because I am His Disciple, Jesus tells me things to come.

Jesus shared things about the future to His disciples, so they would trust in Him. He also wanted His disciples to know His plan for them, and He wants the same thing for us. How? God tells us about things to come through the Bible and His Holy Spirit.

We talk about receiving the Holy Spirit today, for it’s the Holy Spirit who tells us all about our own day-to-day futures. Here’s a simple prayer you can pray with your kids:

Dear Father, I ask You for the Holy Spirit. You said You wouldn’t give me something weird, but exactly what I ask for. I receive the Holy Spirit and His power into my life now. Help me to hear His voice and His guidance more and more clearly. Thank you, Jesus, for your gift!
