Because I am His Disciple, Jesus gives me a new purpose and identity.

Following Jesus gives meaning to our lives! We get a new identity, or name: Christian (Christ-like) and we get a new purpose, or job: to proclaim to the world Jesus’ gospel, or good news, that God loves you!

This lesson provides a wonderful opportunity to lead your children in a simple prayer for salvation if they haven’t already prayed one: “Dear Jesus, come into my life. Forgive me of my sin. Make me Your disciple, I want to belong to You. Give me a new purpose and identity. In Jesus’ name, Amen.” Celebrate their decision to follow Jesus!
