Faith Works! The Miracles of Jesus - Lesson 3
Faith Works! The Miracles of Jesus
Lesson Three: Faith Comes by Hearing
Hey Parents! What is faith? Faith is believing what God says is true, and being sure that He will do His Word, or bring it to pass. Jesus said if we believe, we can do the same works He did, and even greater works! John 14:12 This promise is for everyone, no matter your age. To learn more about faith, we are looking at Jesus’ miracles to see how He used His faith, so we can do the same.
For this lesson series, I have prepared a poster for you to print off for your kids. Please print one off for each of your children. They can colour and decorate it and put it up on a wall somewhere to add to each week.
Each week, there will be a new tool they can cut out and paste on their poster. This tool will be on their activity sheet. Here are this week’s activity sheets:
Lesson 3 – Faith Comes by Hearing – Preschool Page
Lesson 3 – Faith Comes by Hearing – Elementary Page
You will also find a lesson outline for you that’s all ready for you to do with your kids.
Lesson 3 – Faith Comes by Hearing – Lesson Outline
There are 4 short and basic parts to the lesson:
1) Today’s Lesson – This is the outline of what story and what “tool” is part of the lesson, and how they fit together. You can watch me in this video go through the lesson, too, here:
YouTube: Faith Works! The Miracles of Jesus - Lesson 3
2) Today’s Faith Tool – These are easy objects to find around your house. It’s a great idea to have one on hand for your kids to handle as you talk about it. Today, you’ll need some head phones.
3) Today’s Story – This week, we’re looking at when Jairus came to Jesus to come and heal his daughter. Jairus had to choose whose report to listen to and believe – Jesus’ or his friend’s? We too get to decide what to believe: our own problems, or what God says about them. You can read this story with your kids from a Bible in Mark 5:22-43. Or you can watch this video. A summary of the story is on the lesson sheet along with some key points you can discuss.

4) Memory Verse – It’s so valuable to teach your kids the Word of God! Things they learn and memorize in their childhood they will remember later when they most need it! Included with the verse is a fun way to memorize it. The main point is to make it a fun and enjoyable activity. This week’s verse: Mark 5:36.
Incorporate a prayer into some part of your lesson. Here is a simple one you can use…
Dear Father,
Thank You for helping me make my faith grow! Help me to choose to believe Your Word, and what you say about what I’m facing. Thank You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Be blessed as you and your children discover His truth! And remember you are making a difference in the lives of God’s children today. If you have any questions or would like some further lesson supports, please contact me at hello@gatewayvictory.com
